China's rubber industry started in 1915 with Guangdong Brothers Plastic Company, but at that time China's rubber additives were all dependent on imports. In 1952, Nanjing Chemical Plant and Shenyang New Chemical plant were ordered to take the lead in the development of antioxidant A and D, accelerator M, although the output was only 38 tons, but it opened a new era in China's rubber additives industry, ending the situation of all dependence on imports, and gradually formed the "four families" of rubber additives at that time by building Lanzhou Organic Chemical Plant and Sichuan dye factory.
In 1970, China's rubber auxiliary production of 12,000 tons, mainly antioxidant and accelerator products. A number of research institutes have gradually invested in the development of rubber auxiliaries, especially Shanxi Taiyuan Chemical Research Institute, Beijing Rubber Industry Research and Design Institute and Northwest rubber industry Research and Design Institute have developed a variety of products, which has laid a good foundation for the development of rubber auxiliaries in China.
In 1985, the production of rubber auxiliaries in China was still only more than 20,000 tons, and most of the products needed to be imported. Since then, the former Ministry of Chemical Industry organized more than 50 units of research institutes and raw material manufacturers in the rubber auxiliary industry across the country to carry out scientific and technological research, and some projects were also included in the national scientific and technological research projects. About 5 years to complete the scientific and technological development of 21 categories of 68 rubber additives products, to 1992 the completion of 27 new products of the pilot line, when the production of rubber additives reached 33,000 tons, and gradually expand the scale of industrialization according to demand. With the development of processing rubber auxiliaries to form a climate, by 1995, China's rubber auxiliaries production capacity has reached 100,000 tons, the output of more than 60,000 tons, in addition to special varieties of basic self-sufficiency.
In 2000, the total production capacity of rubber auxiliaries in China was 150,000 tons, the output was 110,000 tons, and more than 200 product varieties, which achieved sustained and stable growth and basically formed a complete system. The domestic production of radial tire raw materials IS a glorious chapter in the development history of China's rubber additives industry, during which four projects have won the National Science and Technology Progress Award, respectively, insoluble sulfur IS series products, cobalt salt bonding enhancer, viscosifying resin and silane coupling agent Si69 production technology. After the completion of the project, the former Ministry of Chemical Industry issued the "Circular on Recognizing Advanced Units and advanced Individuals in the localization of Radial Tire", of which 25 "advanced units" and 62 "advanced individuals in the localization of Radial tire raw materials" were recorded in history.
On June 26, 2001, the rubber auxiliaries Professional Committee of China Rubber Industry Association was established in Hangzhou, and 56 member units became the first members. At the beginning of its establishment, the special Committee of rubber auxiliaries proposed to "vigorously promote the clean production of rubber auxiliaries", and gradually formed the development policy of the industry in the practice process: "adhere to scientific and technological progress, develop green chemical industry with environmental protection, safety and energy saving as the center, break through key technologies, and create the world's rubber auxiliaries industrial power."
Since then, the development of China's rubber additives industry has entered the fast lane, and the output has exceeded one million tons from more than 100,000 tons in 2001 to 2013, accounting for more than 70% of global production. At present, China's accelerator TBBS and CBS, antioxidant 6PPD and TMQ, anti-coke agent CTP and other major products output are the world's first, the industry concentration has also been greatly improved. 2014 production of 1.13 million tons, the first two enterprises sales exceeded 2 billion yuan, more than 500 million yuan of 8 large enterprises product concentration has reached 70%, the industry concentration has greatly improved the foreign rubber processing enterprises on China's rubber additives trust and dependence.
