Application and advantages
The rubber DPG is used as an auxiliary accelerator in most sulfur vulcanized elastomers, natural rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber ingredients, together with thiazole and sulfenamide accelerators. It is used as a gelling agent in the foaming process of natural rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber latex. In addition, it is mainly used as a medium-speed accelerator for natural rubber and synthetic rubber.
Accelerator DPG(D) is often used as active agent for thiazoles, thiurams and sulfenamide accelerators. When the second accelerator of thiazole accelerator is used, the aging resistance of the vulcanized rubber is reduced, and an appropriate antioxidant must be used.
DPG(D) can cause discoloration, so it is not suitable for white and light-colored rubber products. In neoprene, it acts as a plasticizer and a shrinking agent.
