Application and advantages
Gas channal black (Miscible channal black) is used as a reinforcing agent and filler for natural rubber and butyl rubber, especially for natural rubber. It gives the vulcanized rubber good tensile strength, elongation at break and wear resistance.
The rubber compound using this product has a long scorch time, which is convenient for processing operations such as extrusion and calendering. However, due to the high heat generated during mixing, the processing performance of the rubber compound is worse than that of furnace black, and the surface of the product is not smooth.
This product is mostly used in the tread rubber of large-scale engineering tires and various off-road vehicle tires based on natural rubber. It can also be used in carcass, sidewalls and buffer rubber. It can also be used in high-strength conveyor belts, cold-resistant products, drilling parts and in paints, oil blacks, enamels and plastics.
