Application and advantages
2,2'-Methylenebis (4-methyl-6-tert-butylphenol), also known as Antioxidant 2246 (MBMBP), is widely used in natural rubber, synthetic rubber, latex and various other synthetic materials and petroleum products.
It can also be used as a stabilizer for butadiene rubber and ethylene-propylene rubber, and its effect is higher than that of antioxidant 264 and antioxidant D. This product is non-polluting and does not discolor, so it is suitable for dipping light-colored or bright-colored rubber products and latex products, fiber impregnating products, and sanitary and medical products. The solubility of this product in rubber is higher than 2%. Since the usual dosage is 0.5~1.5 parts, there is no blooming phenomenon.
This product can also be used as an antioxidant additive for petroleum products. It has good oil solubility, excellent antioxidant effect, and is not prone to volatilization loss. It is also an excellent antioxidant for polyethylene, polypropylene, polyoxymethylene, ABS resin, chlorinated polyether, and cellulose resin.
