Antioxidant 168 is a low-volatile organic phosphite that is particularly resistant to hydrolysis. It protects oxidation-prone polymers from molecular weight changes (e.g. chain scission/ cross-linking) during processing steps (compounding/ pelletizing, manufacturing and recycling) and prevents discoloration.

Tris(2,4-di-tert-butylphenyl) Phosphite, also known as antioxidant 168, can be used as an antioxidant for polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, polycarbonate, polyamide and other materials.

This product has good compatibility with resin and has the advantages of low volatility, high heat resistance, resistance to extraction, no pollution and no discoloration. It is currently the best processing stabilizer in the country and can effectively prevent the thermal degradation of polymers (polyethylene, polypropylene, etc.) during the extrusion and injection molding process, allowing the polymer to maintain its original mechanical properties and aging resistance.

 

This product has good stability during high-temperature processing (heat resistance up to 300°C), minimal water absorption, and strong hydrolysis resistance. It is used together with hindered phenolic antioxidants to have a synergistic effect and is an auxiliary antioxidant with good performance.
